Ok kistler owners i need help.
Im frieking a little. I ordered a custom z-bone yesterday and ordered a 4mh. I will only use this rod for tx rigged worms. Sizes from 1/4- 3/8 wieght with zoom finesse worms and 10 and 12 inchers like a power worm. I will only be using either 12 or 15lb flouro(mainly 15). Sensitivity is my utmost desire. Did i make a mistake not going 3mh or am i ok. All help will be appreciated as i may still be able to change!

Ok, both will do your job.

I'm going to assume casting and guess 7'0".

I have 2 ZBLE4MH, 7'4", full-cork grip.
I have a ZBLE3MH, 7'4" full-cork & a 7'0" split-grip.
And I go to Lake Fork, LOP and Gilmer, so I fish both open water and timber.

My ZBLE3MH I use for shakey-head 1/4-3/8oz, T-rig, light jigs and crankbaits(shallow and DD22). It is very sensitive at 1/4-38oz, good backbone and some flex so you can play a fish. It has a fast action. I use 12-17lb fluoro. If using the 3MH with treble-hooks, lighten drag cause it can rip them out if you horse the fish.

My ZBLE4MH I use for T-rig, light C-rig, 3/8-3/4oz jigs. It is a little heavy for treble-hook baits. It will cast light lures almost as well as the 3MH. It is the best all-round rod. It has a moderate-fast action. I use 15-20lb fluoro. It is sensitive, better backbone and stiffer. You can move a fish better with a 4MH. It will have a better hook-set on a longer line or if driving heavy hook thru large soft plastic worms or flukes. Better in the timber, but the 3MH can do it also.

The ZBLE5H I use Alabama-rig, heavy C-rig, 1/2-1oz jigs with 20-25lb fluoro or braid.

I like full-cork, but split-grip will be a little lighter and little more sensitive.

Sorry but,
1/4-3/8oz w/finesse worm, I would like the ZBLE3MH.
10-12in power worm T-rig, I would like the ZBLE4MH.

Caught a 9.25# largemouth on Fork recently with the ZBLE3MH 7'0", 16# fluoro over open structure and was in control all the way. In tight timber, I would have liked the 4MH with strong hook & line to horse her more.

Call Kistler and talk to Lance in support. Great guy and full of knowledge. More so than I.

Need more, I would be curious what length you ordered.
I'll watch this thread or PM me.

I have a 4 power ZBone. You will love that rod. Mine is 7' in length. Its a very versatile rod and will accomplish what you are looking for. I use mine for everything from texas rigs to spinner baits and buzz baits.

I have ordered custom rods from Kistler. If you need help, Trey will answer any questions you have. They understand its an investment and want to help you in any way.

Lance at Kistler definitely is an awesome guy and will probably be the guy building your rod ...Trey Kistler is one of the most knowledgeable and innovative rod builders in the industry and super nice guy also. Congrats again on the rod...you'll definitely want another one.
