i saw a few big ones swimming around 20-30lbs. they seemed to be lockjaw however all the 4-7pounders were eating like pigs.

where were these hungry 4-7# re's?

One real goo way to shut the bite down in the hole is to throw a net yeah you can catch them where they are if your careful but I wouldnt recommend it right there we always catch bait on the lake and bring it in.

Just got home,

Fish in the main hole where biting nonstop, used jigs, fluke, spooks,, largest was 26inches smallest 6inches.

Made some dough bait and moved to the smaller pools in search of carp, caught 8.

I saw some bass roaming the islands that were biggest ive seen up there, maybe 30inchers, heads so big there bodys looked small, i tried some artificials, no luck, also smelled like sulfer rotten eggs this morning

I'm interested in trying out the dam for stripers. Was woundering if my rig would hold up. 6'6 Med action spinning with #10, also what I should throw crank baits, soft plastics, or what? I normally go for lmb, so this is new to me. Thinking about Sunday morning, what time do they bite best? Any other info would help too. Thanks in advance.

Jigs/flukes/swimbaits/ your rod is fine for the dinks, you may have one break you off here and there, morning is my favorite, cast as close to the island in the main pool

Never been there. Is the main pool obvious? What size swim baits and jigs should I throw? Any color there hitting more than others? Sorry for all the questions I just don't want to get skunked my first time out.

Before you go down stairs, to your right is the main pool, the river takes alot of scouting, white and chartreuse, blue and red also, 3-4inch sassy/swim baits, also dead shad from the gas station with a cork and 3 feet leader Also works
