I fished a club tourney this past weekend at possum kingdom. It was the first and only time I've had my boat in the water there. After taking the boat out, I noticed that my polished stainless prop now had a heavy oxidized look to it. I hit it with simple green (because I thought it was scum) but it didn't do anything to it. I tried scratching it off with my fingernail, notta. It actually looks oxidized. Any thoughts? Anybody ever had this happen?

The prop will probably work better not being perfectly polished and shiney. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mothers mag polish and a Mothers small polisher ball keeps my stainless prop, well polished. Sand bars at shallow points on lakes deliver a totally different form of polishing. Galvanic etching is a whole nother kettle of fish.

I think it is caused by a Patron deficiency.
