Was checking my yellow squash this morning and ran into this guy. I have no idea as what kind it is but he was big. I left him alone maybe he will eat a grasshopper.

I think this is what is called a wolf spider,common house spider, anyway I think they are a beneficial spider.

Yes it's a wolf spider. They don't make any webs they hunt on the ground. They are similar to a tarantula

I would have soiled myself after seeing that spider for the first time. Spiders are beneficial to the garden though.

Looks to me like a wolf spider. They are common out in the country. They do jump and their eyes glow at night. They are intimidating, but not harmful (non-venomous).

That's a male wolf spider, Lycosa rabida. Males are smaller than females.

Well ok after 8 hours this spider was at the same place as before I moved at him and now I have now Idea as to where he is now LOL.

Thats not funny.I have turned on the lights in the middle of night more than once and seen one of these as big a round as a baseball just sitting there.

Snakes scare me more and at times I think them spiders may be a bigger deal as the make nothing in noise.
