What are the advantages to using fluorocarbon? I've always just used mono but I'm thinking of switching over.

Maybe a little more depth due to line sinking. Maybe a lil ore depth from smaller diam compared to same weight mono. Different deflection behavior may be good or bad dependant on fish's mood. Flouro resets to its original path more quickly. Mono allows the bait to roll out a bit more before it resets.

Better abrasion resistance, more sensitivity, better bait control.

Try sunline reaction FC, throws like mono, but its fluor, and has small diameter allowing higher lb test. Stuff is awesome cranking

I'll take a look at the Sunline next time I make it over to Academy. Any other suggestions? I've always heard Seaguar Red Label was hard to beat but I just don't know much about the stuff.

The Sunline is great when you get into the Sniper and Shooter. However, for the Reaction Sunline you can do Red Label, which has far more abrasion resistance and has a MUCH longer lifespan.

You're using the wrong fluoro then. I've never had an abrasion problem with Sunline or Invis-X.

Ive used Sunline, Red Label, XPS, Trilene, Cajun,Viscous, Silver Thread, Invisx.

None of them compare to mono (mainly BPS Excel) when fishing around rocks. IMO...

If you're find mono to be more abrasion resistant than flouro you're using garbage flouro
