I was looking at my fishing records from last year and figured out I have been fishing in Texas for 13 months now.

In 13 months I have caught 3 bass over 8 pounds and many, many 4-5 pounders.

I had fished in KC for my whole life and never did that in one season.

Texas Rules!

FYI - I hammered them in Aug.

...on the 25th hookset aka Justin had 5 fish that went over 20 lbs.

yesterday was a fun day for me a friend of mine brought his son to me to teach him how to fish so after 10 mins of teaching him how to cast he caught his first fish ever

@FFM, Yes, Texas does rule! I never got this kind of LMB/Crappie action in MI...

@Cody, Pure awesomeness once again, sir! You're keeping me active b/c everytime I see a pic of a bass, I feel compelled to force myself out there on the bank. Good job on the fishing lessons as well and tell your uncle that I'm jealous b/c I don't have a pic with a pose like that! lol He got himself one beautiful fish there...

Time to hit the bank... Hopefully I have something positive to report back...

No luck. Was out there for a little bit then the wind picked up really quick from an incoming storm it looked like, so I packed up and headed home. Now it looks clear. No bueno...

Im in krum now and don't really have a particular place in mind.

I was looking at the wind and thinking you should have been getting into them. Sometimes I think the wind helps in fishing for bass.

I was out almost all day, early this morning, came home and ate took a nap and went back this afternoon. Had a good day, caught about 10 bass, lost a good one (5 or 6 lbs at least) early this morning on a frog, I haven't used them much before and I was missing some early until I figured out how to set the hook better.

This evening I had one break the line when I set the hook, using 10" worms, that never happens to me either, then a few mins later I had a big one spit out the worm because I was gunshy on setting the hook because the one before that broke off! But all in all it was an awesome day, the weather was amazing for the middle of July, and I put quite a few fish in my little Jon boat!
