Not really. I usually go to Grapevine or North Tarrant Pkwy store and usually well stocked and always something on sale. +1 These are the two that I go to as well. Usually well stocked. If they don't have what I need, then I go to APT in Hurst.

The store in McKinney has cut way, way back on brand name crankbaits and a few other lure types by replacing brand name items with their store brand.

I have noticed that ever since they were bought by another company, the fishing tackle is lacking. The ones here in Austin carry a lot of Zoom plastics and very little other soft plastic brands.

The Beaumont store is full of empty hangers. They have either quit selling a lot of stuff or are just out of it.

The Humble Academy is no better- very hard to find decent items. And they do not stock or order LH reels. Claim there is no market in them!
I have to go to BP in Katy to get my fix.

Try Plano store @ North Dallas Tollway and Parker. They have good stock of everything. yeah this one is good No this store doesn't have anything you would want to buy. Go somewhere else. But really this is the best store in the North Metroplex area

I was in the Lewisville store this week looking for Lake Fork soft plastics. Less than half a dozen bags all the same type just different color.

Midland store is "remodeling".....looks like they're thinning out the fishing department quite a bit. But the store in San Angelo seems much better. They are round water though....or what's left of the water.....

Just got back and noticed the same thing. Seem to be cutting back on plastics. Liked them because they were close and usually have what I need. Cabelas really, really blows in my opinion. Service horrible and never seem to have what I need. Hate to see Academy going down that road too.

The Longview store looks like a Zoom factory outlet. Anything but Zoom is lacking most of the time.

I like Academy. Best prices and generous return policy.

They are changing too soon. Need to hold out because Dick's and Cabela's both suck and people are starting to see that I think.
