what kind of snake is that? one of those kept trying to attack me at rowlett creek this spring. i kept pushing it off with my pole because it was swimming towards me and it kept going straight back to me

Definitely a copperhead. Good thing you saw him. They can be territorially aggressive. Not as bad as a cottonmouth, but still......

Put me on my toes quick, I was reaching for a Chicken Liver and poof there it was 2ft. away from my hand. and he was about 3ft in length.

cooper heads are bad but a rattler is a lot worse,FtHood is lousy with both. been bit by rattler back in the 50's.
