My wife and I are in the market for our first boat. We went and test drove one a few days ago. It performed great on the lake. When we had the outboard checked out one of the cylinders had low compression. Five of the six we either 130/125, but the sixth cylinder was only 115. The owner said he would sell it 'as is' for $5000 less or for the original price with a refurbished motor by the marine shop (with 1 year warranty).
What would your advice be?

Actually 115 is considered OK when compared to 125. Within 10%. Have the lower pressure cylinder leak tested and bore scoped to be shure.
