Get yourself an UL combo set up with 2-4lb. stren or brand of choice,fashion it with a 1/32 oz jig or a cricket and harvest them Man.Get them going in the Peanut oil until their little tails are as crispity & crunchity as Lays surround them with some Ore Idas or steak fries and a nice fresh salad.Chase it with a ice KOLD adult Beverage (if you are so inclined ),Kick back on the Sofa or the back porch watch the sun go down and count your Blessings.Life is GOOOOOD ***Voice of Strother Martin*** (Cool Hand Luke....1967) "This man is gonna make us PROUD of him, Mr. Hunnicutt!"

weinie skin works great as bluegill bait plus if you get hungry, have a hot dog.

Small hook baited with a crappie nibble or worms should do the trick. Sometimes they prefer one over the other so just experiment and see what they want. After you catch em throw em in the livewell and put em on a big hook. Nothing better than catching a big yella kitty.  +1 on what Big 10 says. They work great on jug lines. The larger ones, cut in half, then freeze in zip lock bags. It works great!

When I was a kid we caught bream with cheap biscuit dough. If find those dark handsize bluegills I break out the ultralight and go to work. I have some super tiny tube jigs I use to slay them. You have not lived life until you have had a platter full of fried bluegills.

use 1/64 oz. ....nothing i mean nothing gets away ........ trust me .....hahaha 2 or 3 inchers get it when i fish ,,,along with the big boys ...... they look like this .......  This!^^^
