Hit the local creeks the other day and caught a bunch of Rios. Caught over 30 in a three hour period. Right now the Rio fishing is GREAT. They are becoming super active and the bite should be getting better from now until mid October. All fish were caught on both live and Berkley power worms. Fish were in the 8 to 9 inch range and all were healthy and fat. Ultra light tackle was used with bottom techniques. Creeks are in good condition with good current. All fish were released to fight again. Rio fishing at it's best. fish

Thanks "Dfitz" and "Creek Dweller" for the replies. The Rios and the Sunfish are in super shape. The creeks are holding up really good this summer. We got a pretty good shower early this morning and there is rain in the forecast the rest of the week. banana (Rain Dance). If we get some more rain this will really recharge the creeks and the fish. hooked

Thanks "Tun3R" for the reply. cheers

There are still a few of em sitting on nest. If they are on nest it takes an act from Congress to make em bite. bang Give em another week and try at em again. A lot of the fish here are off of the nest and searching for food. We still have a few on nest and they won't bite for anything. thumb

Nice bunch of Rios Chuck. Good job. woot As for Rios in Amistad I myself have never seen any. I have fished that lake a lot over the years. I was told that the bigger Sunfish are on the back side of Black Brush Cove. You may find some Rios there. hmmm Also good to hear that the creeks are holding up.I got a little under one inch of rain in the meter. It has rained here for a little over an hour now and I know that I got well over an inch now. Will let you know in the morning the total after I check it. Also good chance of more rain all day Tuesday. banana Bring on the RAIN! cheers
