The hot weather has got the thermocline setting up at around 25', So you want to intersect the structure a 20'to 25' and look for the sweet spots within the spot, When you find them they will be stacked up. On cloudy days and early and late in the day they will suspend up in the water column at around 15'and you can catch them on the count down method with a jig or spoon, And on sunny days it will push them to the bottom and use a c-rig,Jig and a flutter spoon.
I will be giving a seminar at Diamond sports marine next Saturday on using the countdown method on suspended fish it is a great way to catch them in July and August.
Here are a few pics of some deep water bass me and my customers have caught this summer.

Mark, when was the photo of Jamie taken? If he's here for his annual deal, ya'll need a rematch where he caught his new PB last summer.

p.s. - you coulda at least included my 23.875 incher from a few weeks ago in that set.

That would be Dr. Hook's 2012 FX. He wanted some deep water electronics instruction on his Birds, so we took his boat and Pack worked his electronics majic. Got Hook's birds set up the way they should be, and taught us both some more about interpreting what we see on our electronics.
