 My Daughter's first Crappie on Benbrook - With some strangers help

Fished all morning Saturday trying to put my daughter on fish, any fish. I managed an undersized largemouth but couldn't get her on anything. We then passed by a spot where a couple said they were biting and said we should join them. So we did. Jim and Brenda were their names and they were the absolute nicest people you could ever meet. They provided us with the tackle that was working for them and even brought us back some minnows when they went to the marina for some supplies. We arrived at the lake at about 6:15 AM or so and it was now 11 AM and I was not prepared for that long of a trip with only a jug of ice water and some peanut butter crackers. We were getting wore out, hungry and ready to leave but guess what. Jim and Brenda offered some Gatorade and a sandwich that kept us going and eventually resulted in my daughter catching her first fish out of Benbrook Lake. It is so cool to meet people like that. The smile on my daughters face was priceless and she may not realize it now but I know this day will turn into a great memory for her. Thanks to Jim and Brenda for being so kind and helping make that memory. Notice my daughter's got the arm extension trick down!

there is nothing better than a fishin trip that includes ketchn fish......

Truth be told I really get a kick out of seeing others (that arnt lucky enough to be on the water as much as I have) catch fish. Exspecially the young'uns.
Most of us on here are only a couple of days away from getting a line wet again. Paying it forward is the right thing to do, I firmly believe that what comes around goes around.
