There is a nasty stump less than a foot below the surface. It's 100 feet or so off the point that is south from terry ramp. The stump is on the cove side. Be careful if you headed to fish in that cove. Guess the lake is starting to drop again. Good luck out there.

Tight lines

Thanks for the info. Pat said it best...always swing wide of that point. There are more than 1 stump all over the area. When the lake is low I go almost 300 yards around it. thumb

It shocked me. I've been flying into that cove clueless for the past month or so. First time in I slowed down to check and saw nothing. Last night I just happen to look down and my trolling motor missed it by inches.

Sad thing is I am more worried about the lake gettin low than I am of hitting stumps.

Love fishing but I wouldn't mind another flood to get the lakes up again lol.

I saw that one today. Ive been motoring right by there with no clue. Sounds like they will start popping up fast with this hot weather.

Atta- I just spoke to Aaron, a fellow TFF'er. He said he saw two telephone poles floating vertical and right under the water last week. He was able to push one down and it came floating back up. He called TPWD and they wrote him back an e-mail stating that they weren't able to locate them to try to pull them to shore. So it sounds like they are floaters and/or telephone poles that maybe washed into the lake. So guess it's best to always be on the lookout....

When the water was low ( only several months ago?) you can see that stump at the mouth of the cove and many other stumps inside that cove behind Terry park. I used to follow black bass Matt in there when he was guiding Hubbard, lol!
