I love blue Quail. Best Quail lease I have had was South of Sterling city & we were covered up in Blues, once a dog learns how to hunt Blues, you have one heck of a dog.

I think they are born with Nike running shoes on. They sure are good eating! Fried quail with mashed potatoes,biscuits and gravy...yum,yum

My Dad used to say that blues would fly higher than bobwhites. I remember a ranch in south TX with blues. They were running around just 10 ft in front of me as I walked down a rough road - quite an experience!

Great article on the decline in quail in TPW magazine just a month ago. Great bird and sorely missed.
