We just started fishing Twok again, havent fished there in 14 years. What happened to mutual respect for other fishermen. Most fishermen are respectful to others but yesterday I was fishing with my wife, while we (and many others)were drifting on main hummps there were Idiots who were trolling through and running wide open trying to get to the schools of fish. There were 12-15 boats fishing together. What ever happened to fisherman respecting fishermen. There were plenty of us who were looking (staring) at them, but they did not seem to care. To all of you who are still respectful and care about someone other than yourself. Thank you from the both of us, my wife and I still caught fish but we could not beleive the as_ho_es who trolled through. We will be back and gladly fish with most of you. Good luck to all respectful fishermen (and women) we will see you there again. We still love the lake

Sad to hear. Fished Twok on Monday and didn't see any of that. Was on Lewisville on Friday (not fishing unfortunately) with some friends and we went way out of our way to be respectful to the guys fishing. Too bad others don't share our sportsmanship!!

Welcome to fishing on lakes near the metroplex during this time of the year! Yours isnt an uncommon story...especially on tawok. I personally dont fish tawok but everyone that does complain's about the sandbass racers and trollers. Try fishing during the week and understand that your completely helpless aginst stupid inconsiderate people!!

Thanks for the response guys .... I am hoping that some of the guys read this and understand the wrong in what they are doing. I dont mind trolling when its hot to keep a breeze going but not through other fishermen.

We did put in at Holiday and they certainly need ot do some work on the rest rooms. They are in bad shape, a good cleaning would be a great improvment (pressure wash) but the guy inside the store was a pretty good ole boy and was respectful around the wife. Gotta love that. I have been putting in at state park but started earlier than they opened this time. (been going the night before and staying all night on the boat) Last time I was at Holiday in March it was so smokey inside the store we came out smelling like smoke. They really need to make some changes in their operation cause they have a good deal going there. Dozer hope that answers your questions. I am not bashing on them and hopefully they will take some of the money they are making and put it back into the facility so they can be around for years to come.

Was fishing on texoma today and some jackwagon was fishing from his jetski running right through a school of surfacing fish to get to the middle of it. I guess its all he had though.

Nope I was over by soldier creek. Must be the new thing these days. I gota say he could manuver through the boat show pretty well though.

RWH, I know it is frustrating. I can not wait till the weather cools off and we fishermen get our lakes back.

Fishing in the TSA tournament this past Saturday, we had two separate times where disrespectful fishermen showed their true colors.

While using the I-Pilot (Virtual Anchored in one spot for several hours), our team was catching fish. There was a 21 foot Fishmaster with two adult men approached our boat with big (225 Suzuki OB) They proceeded to come right up to our boat and ask us "How is the fishing"

This was the first time on Lake Tawakoni in our 24 foot Century and was SHOCKED to have someone be so disrespectful. We were catching fish, and someone thought they could pull right up to our boat, to the point where one of us could of jumped on it. They left and did it again. We were fishing with a 7 year old and were very respectful. We were fishing, in the SE corner of the dam. No one else within several hundred yards.

One other time, while were all were on fish, several pontoon boats proceeded to troll within a couple boat lengths, next to our boat.

I guess this is normal for some boats to do this, but here in Central Texas, you will get yelled at for being so stupid.

We caught over 60 hybrids each day, most between 23" and 26". Great fishery you all have up there.
