Hit Dunlap again this morning. We picked up a couple smaller ones on plastics early and then went searching for some bigger fish. I found a good spot that went from 6 feet to 18 feet and had a slight bend in the old river channel. Broke out the DD22 and started bumping the key spot I had graphed. BAM! Third cast, this girl hits. Went 5.42lbs. My buddy picked up another 3.72lber and we landed some other smaller keepers. Finished off the day hitting the first bend down from the IH35 launch, pulling plastics over the rocks there and my buddy caught a little smallie. Good times!

Thanks, it was a fun trip in my step dads boat with my friend and step dad. Dunlap has been treating me right lately. I've spent a lot of time on that lake over many years, it's nice to be rewarded finally.

I'm going to Dunlap for the first time this weekend... any tips or advice?

Ill be fishing it friday night, I would assume there will be some rising water, crank crank crank

would be my suggestion or flip a bit up shallow

Yeah, I wasn't sure how all the rain was going to affect the fishing. Does anyone ever catch anything in that stump pile? I wasn't sure what the fish were biting down there, but it looks like there are some pretty big bass!

The stumps at the no wake zone can be good at times, however I havent done well there since the spring. In the spring I had around 28lbs out of that area and broke off one much bigger because I tried to swing it.

I would guestimate her at around 9-10...why did I try and swing her you ask...because my partners rattle trap was 4 hooks burried beyond the barb in the back of my knee at the time.

Managed a good night but about 845 it all shut down for me.

I had a 6, a 5, a 5.5, and a couple limit fish and some shorts.

I have one pic i managed in the daylight ill post in a while.

All fish caught mid like off the docks on either finesse jigs or senkos on light line, could not get them to take a bait on any heavy lines.
