Wife and I hit Waco again late this morning and it was REAL slow for the first 2 hrs. But then I found the slabs on the outside columns of the east bound lanes in the very corner where the underwater support beam crosses to the inside column. They were deep (15'-18'). They really liked it when the jig was raised high (about 3') and ya let it fall. They would hit it on the rise or the fall, it didn't seem to matter to them as long as the jig was moving.
We caught 12 huge slabs the last 30 minutes we were there fishing the way I just described.
Good luck if ya go out there. cheers

TreeBass and jsplinter it is nice putting a face to the names on this board.
Yes fishing the bridge is not like fishing timber (which is what I usually fish), or brushpiles, though I haven't really fished piles much.
I had a friend with me Tuesday and though he was sitting right next to me on my boat and using the same colored jig I was, he only wrangled in 7 the whole morning to my 25.
I have to be honest and say that I learned how to fish the bridge after watching Tomasc and a couple other guys last year. Tomasc can fish the bridge and make it look soooo easy.
So far I have only found one brushpile on the lake and a few other things that hold some fish but once the bridge peters out I will start hunting the piles out and hitting them for my fun. But for now the bridge is sure keeping us busy and putting a smile on Mamma Boxer's face. And that makes the home life so enjoyable.

I hope the lil one's OK.

Was the guy wearing a bright red shirt? If so, yes that was us. I wish you would have said hello. Always nice to put a face with names on here. Which boat were you in?
Yes she does hold her own when it comes to getting Crappie in the boat. Pssst...Just between you and I, she usually whoops my arse out there, like today. But lets just keep that lil bit of info between us. Don't want everyone knowing that.
Today she landed 4 back to back over 14" with the biggest just touching 15". I started getting a bit frustrated and she was all smiles. We did manage to come home with 27 plus 3 that were given to us by someone else. All in all it was a very enjoyable day.

how did you guys do tex? We managed to get 12, but they were 12 good ones! they never really seemed to pick up on the bridges today. i think i counted 10 boats under the bridges at one point.

all of ours came from about 14 ft deep, the only jig they hit today was a pink/char thump buddy.

We managed to get 27 in the boat ourselves and someone gave us 3. it was tough out there today. The wife and I did try the timber for about 30 minutes and landed a few off the one tree we always fish.
The bridge didn't start up til after 1 today. Seems to be later and later every day. The wife again caught some slabs and was all grins the rest of the day. Hers came in 24' of water and 6 cranks off the bottom on the other end of the bridge from where you were fishing.
There were a lot of boats out there but they weren't having much luck. Most guys I talked too only had 1-3 fish in the boat and that was fishing 3-5 hours. I did see a boat with 3 guys in it and they were loading them in using minnows. I have no idea how many they caught but they did very well.

Almost forgot...Ours were caught on my magic Gold bodied jig. grin

This was our haul for the day.

I'm not sure if you had on a red shirt. I just saw this after I got home. The only guy I saw today that was fishing with his wife was in a white sea ark boat with a minn Kota TM with remote. I only noticed because you guys were catching fish. I figured it was you. I was in the gold Cobra bass boat that spoke to you.
