Not very much. Not enough to bother keeping track. I've got enough tackle to last me 5 years.

But, if I had sufficient funds, I could spend $3K +,....on electronics.
Actually, gas and diesel is my biggest expense (I'm on a budget there).

BTW I might do some creek fishing next week.

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

About $100 - 200 for panfishing stuff. Probably more than that on stupid bass and other stuff that I rarely use, lol.

Oh lord about 25$ a month, times 12= $300+-(I loose a-lot of baits casting near trees because that's where the fish are at!)

figure in food, beverages, fuel. The bait is not enough to even worry about.

Heck, I took well over $1,000 worth of gear (all new in the last 4 months, except some of the lures) to Roatan Honduras with me 2 weeks ago. Had $500 just in my fly reel and line. You know it's bad when you buy 4 new travel rods, and reels to match, to go on a SCUBA trip. Not to mention I broke a 120 dollar rod and have basically ruined the Penn Battle 5000 that was on it. I guess somehow throwing the reel off the rod into 800+ feet of water with the bail open will do that. Had to handline 275(ish) yards of power pro back to the boat... Oh the joy.

Total Number of Fish Species Caught: 81 (19 on the fly)
States Fished: 7
Countries Fished: 6

Those questions are great!!!! Classic! Well done.
....not near as much as I used to.
That's all I'm saying.

You want to spend some money, get addicted to trying to go faster. You can pour money down the drain quicker than you can print it on stuff once you've installed you'll never see or touch again! Plus you get to run only fresh 93 octane and $40 oil. Boat bling is another good way to part with some funds. When your focus shifts from your tackle to your boat, bring your checkbook.

If I were rich, not nearly enough, but since I'm not, too much!

I use a fly rod so that gets a bit more expensive. I was using a $500 4wt. rod, $125 reel, and $60 fly line, but it was too easy where I usually go. I just bought a new, smaller(2wt), cheaper set up for $350. The salt rod, reel, spare spool, and two fly lines that went to Costa Rica in December were roughly $1500 with another 100 in flies. I only fished really one full day too.

If I just fished for gills. it would be peanuts, but bass fishing adds up quick.

Many years ago, back when I was Mr. Professional Bass Angler, I drew a partner in a tournament who met me at the dock with two rods and a brown paper lunch bag. This was back in the day when the size of your manhood was reflected by how much tackle you had. He climbed aboard my 22' bass boat with my arsenal of rods strapped to the deck and off we went. His two rods were identical, both Texas rigged exactly alike. One was a backup, just in case. The lunch bag was full of 8" bloodline ringworms. He absolutely smoked my tail from the back of my own boat.

I still fish those worms today.

After 6 figures of trial and error, I believe you send me out on the water with a bag of those bloodlines, a bag of 4" white senkos and now a bag of 2" curly tails, I can keep up.
