Looking to spend about a week at Lake Millwood Arkansas with the family. We have been unable to find lodging for our family of 6. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes it is, but thought maybe someone from TX could be nice enough to help us, also from TX, out for a family vacation. Surely someone from TX has been there.

Thats my home lake! If you are taking the wife and kids, I suggest driving to Texarkana everyday. Its only a 20 minute drive from the lake. Just my 2 cents

Not a lot of lodging on such a good lake. Yarbourogh (misspelled I know) sleeps four maybe take a couple cots since kids don't mind or get two cabins. If not drive back and forth like jogging griff said.

I don't know if Ashdown still has a motel or two but it is much closer to the lake than Texarkana and if you can drive from Texarkana to Millwood in 20 minutes, I don't want to ride with you. I was born in Texarkana and lived there till 1999, I guided on Millwood for 8-10 years. You will have a much bigger choice of eating places and motels in Texarkana. As said earlier Yarbourgh Landing used to have some lodging and a place to eat but it has been 15 years since I have been there. There is a Ark. State park there also that may have built some lodging since I left the area.

Yarbourgh Landing has some cabins for rent but they have all but 2 of them full time booked with workers from the power plant in Fulton. The state Park does not have any loding just a camp grounds. Ashdown has 2 motels neither of which I would recommend for a family.Dlallder is correct it is more like a 40 to 45 minutes from Texarkana but has plenty of lodging and resturants. Nashville is 25 minutes from WhiteCliffs area and has 3 or 4 motels 2 of which are nice.If you need more info on Millwood you can Pm me or call will be glad to try and help anyway I can.

I'd take Tim up on that offer if I was you.
