We went out to Dunlap today, fishing was fairly good until about 5 deep v ski boats started churning up the water, running the lake end to end. Was like being in a Tsunami testing facility with all the wake oscillating off the retaining walls. I actually had a few bow waves crest over my kayak!

We then had lunch and headed to a local creek to finish the day. Here is the video...

Someone is gonna get hurt there in that river corridor. Has anyone fished the south end inside the no wake bouys? I bet yall anything there is some mighty big fish around those deeper docks...Great vid DR. That was a pretty big fish for a skinny snake. He may not have to eat for a week after that meal.

Hooligan, it wasn't the case today, but some of the worst offenders are bassboat owners!

I've fished the no-wake end and have had pretty good success but the no-wake zones are routinely ignored by most boaters.

Looking to do some blue gill fishing from the bank at Dunlap. Never been there before...can anyone give me directions to a spot where I can park and walk down to the bank and toss a line in?

I hear that most of the bank fishing is private property, but from some of the pics, I see that people are fishing off some docks.

All of the docks are private. As for the bank there is space at the boat ramp under IH 35 in New Braunfels. You can also bank it at the spillway under the Faust Street Bridge. thumb
