I got my Nitro back from the factory 2 weeks ago, after being without it for 2 months. The factory did repairs to my hull. After taking it out on the water twice, the repairs have started to fail and one of the cracks is starting to re appear. I've been given a contact at the factory. Left several messages with no return call. Just a heads-up to present and future Nitro owners.

Sounds like they need to go in behind the area that is cracking and do some reinforcement......Never if your boat was damaged by some sort of wave or wake impact which I suspect, it will probably just do it again........

I dont plan on finding out, as quick as I get it back I plan on trading it in on a Ranger or skeeter, if they will take it as a trade in!

If you can't get shed of it that way and it does it again I'd definatley wouldn't settle for nothing less than a new hull next time around. I was really thinking about the Nitro because of the supossed savings but when I build one on line I wind up with the about the same price as a comapatible ZX Skeeter or 100 series Ranger. I like the ZX Skeeter because it has regular analog switches and not these digital controls that are and all in one unit. The ZX is basic as well when compared to its FX and I-Class but has everything I need. I think from what I have seen if I ordered a ZX20 or 21 all I'd have to add would be a bow mount graph, a keel guard, a Hydrowave and Powerpoles; if I decide I want them, and I would be ready to roll. I also really really like the Legends but I really haven't seen the prices on the new ones, It's like most new boats you get "call for price" in the online ads. I guess they are like Nitro in a way, Nitro is ashamed of their construction because they won't show it in their brochures or on the internet and the rest of them are ashamed of their prices.

You mentioned you were going to trade it as soon as you got it back. Have you changed your mind or are you still going to get rid of it? If you keep it, let us now how the repairs hold up. Good luck with your boat.
