What additional parts will I need to connect an LMS-522CiGPS to a HDS-8 Gen2 w/LSS-2? Wires, connectors, etc? What all information will these two units share when connected?

You can use the nmea 2000 network and have them share wpts. Ethernet cables allow them to share 2d sonar.

Think all you need is to get another Ethernet cable and connect the LMS-522CiGPS to a ethernet port on the LSS-2.
