It has been nice to see and meet several TFFers on Cooper lake the last few weeks. The boat traffic has picked a little this year. I actually seen a Boatshow (7 boats) on one of the humps the other afternoon.
The fishing has been great the last month, and should continue to be great. Cooper hybrids really like the summer heat.
I have been finding the hybirds on the humps in 14-25ft. I am using my electronics alot to keep on the fish. They have been moving around alot. I to keep finding the school. If I find a school and catch mostly sandbass I move to try and find the hybirds. I have great success on a 2oz godfather slab from moestackleshop.com. I am fishing the slab straight down burning it 2-3 cranks up off the bottom. The other two lures is a 4in chartruse sassy shad on a 3/4oz head and one of the big spoons all from moes.
With the sassy I am making a long cast letting them hit the bottom and using a stop and go retreave.
With the spoon I am making a long cast and burning it off the bottom 5-7 turns of the reel handle. Let the spoon go back to the bottom on freespool.

Cooper is a great lake with outstanding fishing and facilities.

It would pay dividends to book a trip there with Tony Parker, he knows the lake and he knows the fish.

We talked about Twak this weekend, but there having that big TSA deal on Saturday, lots of boats. May have to go visit Cooper again, maybe we can russle up 4 or 5 boats.
