Last time out with trolling motor on high for a while it quit. Circuit breaker had popped, I put a new one in since dealer said to try that first, now it works again, but when I tried it out today, it continued to run, but when i got back the motor was really hot.
May have started to lose some speed, after having it on high for 20 minutes on steady high. I never felt it before, and until recently have never battled the wind like I am now. Is it normal to be really hot? Any need to take it in for "regular service" ? Its a 3 year old 24 volt Motorguide with built in transducer puck...
Thanks for any info!

wiring is too small or you have a battery going bad, low voltage will heat it up quick.
