ok so I have a 65lbs minn kota and when trying to move it shallower today I shattered the bottom half of the plastic head unit. I took it apart and I think I can fix it no problem, I just need the bottom half of the plastic head piece? (i can post pics if anybody needs beter explanation... where do I get parts? and has anybody done it before?

surely somebody had smashed a head unit before... I have all the parts didn't lose anything just need that bottom piece

I stopped there last week and they were open but had very few parts in stock. Of course they didn't have the TD mount I needed.

I have made that repair a few times and it is pretty simple. There are a lot of places to get the parts you need on line. You will need the brand, model, and serial# to get the right part.

I did the exact same thing about 2 months ago. I called John below. He took my order over the phone and shipped me the part the very next day. I believe it was $7 plus shipping. The repair took about a half hour.

Yes! He has given me great service, and you don't have to pay State Tax if you live in Texas (he's in Texarkana, AR).

As well as the direction arrow kit and sticker
