Every yr its the same story. Seems like there has been so many people dying in local lakes. I guess I shouldnt be surprised. I have seen people on mineral wells and wheeler floating across the middle of the lake on dollar store blow up plastic floats. Its crazy to me. At mineral wells I passed a couple of really large women on pink plastic blow up floats crossing over to the island. No lifevest. I asked them when I went by " if those loose air whats your plan?"...one of them actually jokingly said "I guess we will drown" then laughed. The other one said "swim". I should have told her that at her size swimming a 100 yds in the wind...good luck. I just kept my mouth shut and made sure I kept a eye on them till they made it back. I'm sure we all see stuff like this.

Yesterday at Wheeler Branch infact. I thought the same thing and asked the two teenage girls if they were going to be able to make it back in the wind. Like you say, they were on cheap floats with no lifejackets. loco

Last week some guys were floating across LL on an air mattress until a nice crappie fisherman kindly towed them back (almost a mile from their departure point). Scarey.

its usually wind, alcohol, no life jacket. all 3 and something bad can happen quick

I don't always catch fish, but when I do, I prefer Dos Hybrids
