Had the Corbin Fleming benefit event at the Tawakoni Bass Club yesterday , had 32 teams show up to fish. It was a tough day for most but as always somebody finds them. 1st place was 17# and some change and they donated all of their money back to the family.Every one that finished in the money donated some back. All in all with the raffle , fish fry and the tournament we raised over $4000 to give to the family. Not a bad day. THANK YOU ALL for helping and donating. Even I got a little teary eyed when presenting the money to the father. Corbin was taken friday evening to have a blood transfusion and be monitored or he was going to be there. Good to be able to help out.
THANKS TO EVERYONE on the TFF that came out and also DONATED prizes. We had over 70 prizes in the raffle.
THANK YOU SINCERLY

I tell you what........this was one of the most touching benefit events I have ever been a part of!! Thanks to Tawakoni Bass Club and all the others that made this possible!! My brother Austin and I haven't had many opportunities to fish together, but when all this came about we discussed fishing and donating whatever we might win to Corbin. We joked around all week about winning but never thought we actually had a chance as there is always awesome competition on tawakoni. After I caught a nice keeper on about my third cast of the morning I said a little prayer!! I asked that God take over and help us do this for Corbin. Boy did he ever!! Fishing was awesome all day and we were able to weigh 17.09 lbs........my best limit to date on tawakoni. My brother being unfamiliar with tawakoni bass fishing asked me at about 11 o'clock where I thought we'd fair with the five fish we already had.......I told him we needed one more good'n. Five minutes later I landed an almost five pounder!! I never asked him why he was so quiet the rest of the day........I think he said a lil prayer too!!? I will never forget that day and the people that came together for a young man and his family. Thanks again to all the awesome people that made this possible!! I hope we can get more events like this together to help people in need!!

Great story. There was several folks later that day that still could not believe you and Austin gave it all back.
