Went to Kerrville with my wife and The Rionator. Not sure there are Rios up in the hill country for Fred to catch, but we did find a good mess of fish. Between the two of us we landed several 9"+ and The Rionator caught a big catgill!

Whenever you fish with Fred you're bound to find some lurkers and we did. The bite was moderate to good and with this being his first time on this particular body of water and my second, we did fairly well -- catching 30-40 fish in a few hours.

All fish were caught with chopped up night crawlers and my home raised meal worms!

The Rionator stalking his prey...

landing a nice Warmouth!

It was fun, the scenery is amazing and in the end we kind of figure out the fish. Kerville has a lot of water and places that are worth exploring

This little girl used to live in your 2nd picture.
She moved east a couple of miles after that morning and now lives behind The Lakehouse.

Have you gone further west closer to the headwaters?
There's some neat yak stretches you can access from low water crossings.

I'd love to hook up with y'all next time you head my way

That is the Guadalupe. The headwaters are just a few miles up. The further up you go the prettier it gets.
