Heading to Rockport next week with family. Have some spots around Rockport scouted out to wade and pier fish.

We will hit the beach in Port Aransas a few times with the family. Can anyone suggest a couple of good place where I might be able to wade the surf and the family can enjoy the beach?

THANKS VERY MUCH
Lakedawgs

4th of july week there will be wall to wall people on the beach but if you'll head south out of town. You might find some surf that you can fish. You might consider taking the jetty boat out of woody's and go over to the north jetty. You could fish the jetty or the surf and the beach is less crowded. Good luck.

Yeah, the crowds are going to make it impossible to fish mid-day. You'll have drunken idiots walking through your lines. They pay no attention to where they are or what they're doing.

You could hit the surf early, before the congregation of idiots amass upon the beach. They'll begin showing up around 10AM, so if you're done by then you will be ok.

Go down south of town somewhere. Generally south of marker 30.

We are staying in a house off Estes Cove. I might be able to get an extra early start and have the family meet me down at the beach later in the morning.
Most of my fishing will be wading in the bay but I do want to get out in the surf a bit.
Thanks
Lakedawgs
