Mine was with Richard McCarty on Lake Fork back in the early 90's {I believe}...Great time, we learned about punching big jigs in the grass...I just ran across some of the pictures from that trip in an old photo album.

the great Lance Vick, he still had peach fuzz on his face, but he already knew his chit

Can't remember his name. My wife hired this guide out of Shirley Creek marina on Rayburn. After running through trees in the dark and almost throwing me out of the boat, we got to his first spot. He was throwing a white chugbug(the only thing the fish would hit, and the only one in the boat). He front-ended me so bad with the one lure(he wouldn't share) I was stuck throwing a pop-r with no results. After he boated his 4th bass(all in the 3-4 pound range that I netted for him) the last fish he caught flounced just as he was trying to get the hook out. The treble slid down his thumb nail and imbedded itself in the meat of his thumb. The 4 pounder kept jumping and he was swaying to the motion trying to put some distance between himself and the hooked fish. He finally said, "Randy, I need some help". I cut his line, unhooked the front treble from the fish and tossed him back. This guide dude tried to pull the hook out, but it was past the bend of the hook. This guide, I'll call Rambo, pushed the hook through and I cut the hook so he could slide it out of his hand. We finished the last hour jigging a spoon in the river channel and caught a bunch of sandbass.

What a trip. Figured it would be easier for me to learn my limited knowledge of bass fishing on my own and watching tv.
