Caught this 3 pounder last week. The small crappie is 11 inches long. The biggin is 18 inches long.

The crappie was caught on a pink and blue jig tipped with a minnow. I caught it on a ultra light rod. When I hooked the fish it started taking line out on my drag. I thought I had a bass on the line. When I got the fish to the top of the water and saw it was a Big crappie, I knew it was a three pounder. I didn't have a net in the boat and my fishing buddy had to catch it with his hand. The crappie was caught on a lake one hour and 15 minutes east of Dallas. I catch one or two each year this size on the lake.

what a shame to put the knife to that fish......
what fantastic coloration ......and reaching the upper end on crappie .......maybe get a duplicate made ....you just dont see to many that nice .......
