Anyone use one? I lost 2 fish back-to-back on a buzzbait the other morning. Also, does anyone use any kind of trailer? I never have because I figured the blades and noise did most of the work. Thanks for the tips.

Yes and Yes. I try to always use a trailer hook and I will use something like a split tail trailer or a grub. Put the trailer on first and then the trailer hook. I use super glue to hold the trailer in place.
I also get a hole punch and a milk jug and cut little tabs to put on the main hook after you put the trailer hook on. This will keep the trailer hook from backing off and lets the trailer hook swing free.
Good Luck and hope this helps.

Yes on the trailer unless I start getting hung up a lot on super shallow grass. I've lost critical fish due to not having it. I don't usually use a trailer. I don't want anything distracting the fish to the back of the bait. I hope to get the, to strike further forward for a good hook up.

I will start rigging it up with a stinger hook and trailer and see how it goes. I usually use a stinger hook and trailer with a spinner bait, but have never given it a try with a buzz bait. Thanks for the tips.

I alway use a zoom split tail trailer, but never a trailer hook. I retrieve a buzzbait very slowly so there is no need for trailer hook.
