Anyone have and ideas for catching bass there this time of year and where they might be? I fished there yesterday for about 2 hours from 1-3 pm caught 1- 2 pounder at the damn under a tree providing shade with a pearl white Fluke. Im going in the morning and im already rigged up with a Carolina rig and a deep diving crank bait on the other rod. Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is the closest decent lake to my house in Burleson. Info on Meridian state park would also be great! Thanks in advance and good luck on your next fishing trip!

Alvarado and Pat Cleburne will allow you to crank up the big engine too. And more fish with the greater water surface to fish. but the two lakes will have more boat traffic too. So,, pick you poison. Good Luck

i live in glen rose and have been to the state park 4 times ive always had good luck starting where the ramp is and working the tree line to the left its drops off pretty good off the bank so stay about 30 yards off of it and use a blue fleck powerbait worm, and the dam is also pretty good with a blue and silver rattle trap.

I have fished Cleburne State Park multiple times about (10)...In those pictures you have there. Those are average what you will catch. However Last year in early spring, I managed to catch a 4 pounder and lost a giant. My brother in law was there with me as my witness. But It was at least a 9. It was early spring and she bit my spinner bait. It was a reaction strike she didn't hit it very hard and I had her barley hooked. She came off as I was bending down to lip her. But that is the biggest I have seen out there. The dam is good as well as the tree line bank where you load your boat...It is deeper there..I also know some brush piles out there I found last summer when the water got real low. But I don't have the gps locations with me right now...Also there are a ton of white bass...

Exactly where is that road bed? We tried to find it but couldnt find any old maps or anything. I think I know about where it is but any help would be appreciated as we have a trolling motor only boat and the damn is a pretty slow long ride.
