I went to Baffin Bay south of CC for a 4 day fishing shack trip. First time Intercoastal water way fishing for me. I was told a 28 is the boom. What do the experts say?

30" is the Holy Grail.

28" is worthy of a trip to the taxidermist.

28" is a nice trout. Kinda depends on how much girth it has IMO.

28 is a very solid trout. Anything over 8# is something special.

28" is a nice trout. I saw one 32" caught right beside me(not I) & he released her. Now that was a fine Trout. 3 of us were wade fishing Baffin in April a few yrs back. We caught several in the 28-30" range that trip & most all on Top Waters. That was the best trip for large Specs I ever had.

No doubt, 28" is a great fish. I've caught only a handfull that size. My biggest to date is 29.5", and I released her (It was August and she was completely spawned out). That 30" is my goal for putting one (replica) on the wall.

Big trout for sure. We dd catcha couple of 30"+ on day in Baffin Bay, around 8-9 lbs each.

I don't think anyone is disappointed to catch a 28" trout. Nice fish!

Anything in the upper 20's is a nice fish. I have fiberglass replica of a 32.5", 11 lb. fish I caught in Baffin, hanging on my wall. Happy with 20's, but breaking the thirty mark is great!
