I am going to mark the bushes on both ends of the bridge today with some orange ribbon.. At least that will give you some idea of where the bridge is.. There is still plenty of water to get in and out of the county ramp.. And we can launch there till we are fifty plus feet low.. And near the bridge there is still fifteen feet of water as you go round..

There is less than 15 inches of water over the rails..

Certianly in danger mode as previously discussed..

Are there any other low water ramps other than county if it hits that 50 low mark?

Is this underwater bridge at the mouth of county ramp or over by Veleno bridge?

Pic of exposed Veleno bridge from several years ago.
As previously mentioned, concrete bridge railings are now approx 12" underwater.

It's towards the mouth of the Veleno River as you're headed out to the main lake from the county ramp. There's been some gps coordinates given in previous threads and also FLT website has GPS coords too. It's no where near the current Veleno Bridge.

If you're launching from the county ramp and headed to the main lake there's no way to avoid the hazard.

That would be great not the someone getting killed part. I read yesterday that a Game Warden had marked one end of it. These are the guys you need to call to complain, however, not TPWD.

International Boundary & Water Commission
PO Box 1
Falcon Heights, Texas 78545
(956) 848-5211 or 5212

These guys are the controlling authority on Falcon.

I'm just saying, Barrett. Think of Fork. Who marks the hazards, TPWD or SRA?

Yea I here you. Ofcourse SRA. I just think that bridge deal is super super super dangerous. SO many out of towners that would think that the open deep water right there is safe then boom. Fiberglass into concrete. TPWD could do something about it if they really wanted to. I just hope nobody gets seriously injured. A few big buoys would do the trick.

Why not just blow-up the bridge? Get it out of there.

I had Shane my Warden buddy over to the house last night and he told me that every time they mark it or anybody marks it it's getting pulled. I know I personally put a buoy on both sides and tony g (Tgutie put at least one out). James and billy did an awesome job with the jugs and hell it didn't even last 12 hrs I don't think. TPWD is keeping a boat close to the bridge in the morning and are warning as many people on the water as they can. I also tell as many folks as I can at the dock. I saw tommy law warning several people as well. If you come down talk to as many people as you can when launching your boat. Have a clear conscious and know you might of prevented a terrible accident.

Be safe folks and when running the lake stay in the channels if you are not familiar with the lake. A lot of hardwoods are popping up.
