Wow. Got out at 7:30 and found bubbling water out in the middle and it lasted for hours. I was the 1st of the soon to be boat show. I was in the Sea Ray. Everyone was polite. Tons of sandies and some very nice hybrids. I had a blast. Sorry for my yelling swearing, I lost 3 slabs to fish because I cannot tie a proper knot. I am proof you need all your fingers(I have feeling in only 2 fingers of my left hand) to tie a good knot, especially in a hurry. I am heading to Barlows right now to have them properly tie snap swivels on 3 of my rods.

Oh, thank you in advance for pm'ing me the exact GPS coordinates.

If you ever need a knot tied while on the water and you see me just holler. I might even tie on a special slab for you.

Try a Palomar knot. Put the line through the eye, then turn it around and put it back through the other side (or double the line and push it through the eye). This should give you a loop on one side of the eye. Tie an overhand knot across the eye (like the first part of tying your shoe), then put the lure through the loop. Wet it, pull it tight and clip the end. That knot will not come loose and it's EASY to tie.

I have 5 thumbs and the Palomar is the easiest knot for me to tie.

Good to hear they're surfacing. I was out twice recently and had top water bait ready to go. Never got to use em. Though we did well on the hybrids with bait. This was mid lake as well.

tha catchin' is my favorite part.

Just because the fish are surfacing, doesn't mean you want to use top water baits. The bigger fish are way under the surfacing fish. When there is bubbling, the big fish are chasing the small fish to the surface.
