I've eaten fish out of the Haggar/Trinity location. No probs. Actually, you could probably eat fish taken from down town ft.worth, just don't do it too often.
Recent Notables: 40lb Flathead, 30lb Carp, 25lb Buffalo.

The fish in the Elm Fork are fine. It's the West Fork that has the contaminates in it. There are at least 2 dams that keep the good fish in and the bad fish out. You can put a bass hunter in this area. Lots of water to explore thats for sure.

If you have ever eaten fish from the Lakes of Lewisville, Ray Roberts, or Grapevine, you have eaten fish out of the Trinity! The Elm Fork is a fork of the trinity that got dammed up to create Lewisville and Ray Roberts. Grapevine dumps fish into the Elm Fork via Denton Creek and Denton Creek empties into the Elm Fork just upstream from Carrollton Dam on Sandy Lake Road. Main stock of fish in this river comes from those lakes when the discharges are opened. Like i told one guy on the river bank(a weekender, has no clue when it comes to fishing), "Been eating fish out of this river since 1970, do i look sick dying or dead to you?"
Will continue to eat them. It's chock full of all kinds of fish!
