Went night fishing for two hors tonight but didnt catch a thing. im fishing on a good size pond and caught them when it was light on a rippin rap helsinki shad. but as soon as the light was gone the fishing shut off. What do you guys use for night fishin for bass at ponds. I threw spinner baits, buz baits, rapalas, sinkos and just about everything in my tackle box. Is there a time to go and what kind of baits to use. Any info helps guys. Thanks Tyeler!

Try T-rig plastics and jigs. Are there any light sources? If not you might try to rig up some lights. Leave them on for an hour or so then try fishing around them. If lots if bait, try swimbaits.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

I've had a lot of success with the xcite raptor tail craw in watermelon red on a 1/4 oz weight..I think the claws moving water along with the smaller weight makes it easier for them to find at night

work a TX rig rig SLOW. make sure as you crawl a long dark colored worm (i like a tornado or something with a lot of vibration) along the bottom that you pay attention to as much detail on the bottom as possible. I'm not really sold on extra scents or rattles, but a lot of ppl would try and convince you otherwise.

Don't give up too quick after dark IMO there are two different fish those that feed at night and those that feed in light. Give them a bit to get going I have noticed the same thing but they seem to get going just like any fishing some nights are better than others.
