im new to saltwater and am going to galveston this upcoming week and i dont care what i catch i just wanna have a good time and catch some fish any help will be greatly appreciated.

get waders. get boots.
lots of places to wade fish in galveston. my favorite is pelican island.
easy to get to, current is usually good, water is usually clear.
I use gulp live alot, but I was throwing a white/glow tail today and caught 7 nice trout, and a red and a flounder.

PLEASE....wear a PFD, and stay in water that isnt fast or deep. We lost one this last week, and those left behind miss them. Dont do it to your loved ones, watch the rip currents.

where at pelican island? The only place I see people fishing is seawolf park and wading the rocks next to it, thanks.

before you get to seawolf park there is a road on you left, with a big iron gate. if you look directly south from that you will see a trail through the woods.take that trail about 50 yards and your wading.
