Not sure about in the afternoon, but there has been some good schooling behind the islands early mornings. I've heard that the slab bite has been pretty good in the main river channels

I fished this past Friday and Sunday in the Mill Creek area in the mornings and did well with sassys and do it style slabs. The evening bite was really good around the islands. We never caught any monsters but we did catch a few in the 5 and 6 pound range. I saw schooling in both the morning and the evening around the islands. If you are going on the weekend..... Keep your head in a swivel. I did see two boats collide going after a small school. Nothing major but let's just say that the vocabulary got pretty colorful. smile
Good luck.

Well just an update, I went out of highport about 430. Went up toward the houses and was catchin overs on every drop. nothing just huge but all were about 22 inches. so I ended up only keeping 5 total becuase i could only catch 3 box fish plus 2 overs.
