i was out at south lakes park last weekend and only caught 7 keeps in 2 days and the snakes are getting bad

i was out at south lakes park last weekend and only caught 7 keeps in 2 days and the snakes are getting bad I was at South lakes park last Monday. Got 6 in about 2 hours. Put them all back but they could have gone home to the pan. About 15in in size and up.

Got 4 keepers last night... I second the snake notion at South Lakes. Mad snakes running wild when the sun goes down.

Depends on where you go I believe. I would assume early morning and late when its cooler would produce the most action. I've personally gotten most of my action at night...

Early morning for me like 7 to 10 am 2 months ago it was all day.
Now I am using sure shot punch bait. The stuff works for me every time I use it.

I have some pictures of some pretty bass at south lakes too.they are there just very slow to bite.

Saw a guy @ South Lakes with two very nice LMB in his bucket on the dock. Said he caught them on cut bait... Dunno about that, but nevertheless, he had them... I would assume that live bait would prob work well for bass @ Southlakes. Southlakes Park is located @ 556 Hobson Ln, Denton, Texas, 76205.
On another note, does anyone know if the Montecito pond has any bass action popping off plus I need to find a decent location for crappie fishing off the bank other than the LL barge, but somehow doubt that will be occurring anytime soon.

South lake has bass.....    They are just real small. It also has crappie.  Again they are small too. I caught all these during the winter while trout fishing.
