Is this stuff any good? Is there anywhere to get it in the DFW area?

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. If it's anything like MOST commercial American carp offerings you would do better with a simple homemade doughbait recipe, sweet corn or good old bread.
Now I could be wrong as I've never tried the Uncle Josh stuff, but I've been burned enough on other "big name" carp baits by the likes of Lucky Seven and Berkeley when I was starting out to never go down that road again.

It is not terrible (like most) but not great. I caught fish on it, but caught more on my own. 10 years ago I bought some at Bass Pro.
If you want a quick packaged bait I would order some k1 fruity tuity maize and learn how to make a hair rig.

I tend to over think fishing. Please help me. When I am over complicating something please kick me in the face. Hard.

I've had really good luck on the orange/vanilla flavored one in the past catfishing actually at a local pond in Ft. Worth as well as catching common carp in the playa lakes in Lubbock. I used to get it at Bass Pro in Grapevine but they don't carry it anymore. Bought a few things of the orange and one of the strawberry from their site not long ago. It's better than most of the other prepared Carp dough baits I've used. I think you'd be just as good off though doing the homemade route.
