What is the difference in fisfing a point (i know what that is) and a hump? I keep seeing everyone saying they are fishing the humps. I don't follow boats around and want to learn how to find them myself. Also, maybe what a hump looks like on a finder? thanks guys!

if you are in front of holiday marina keep a eye on your depth cause it will go from 22ft+ to 4-6ft in a few sec and you are there

If there is water...I will find the fish in it

main lake points are where you see the land come out to a "point" when you fish those the point usually extends a bit into the lake underwater and whats what people mean when they are fishing "points"

"Humps on the other hand cannot be seen just looking at the lake. Get yourself a good graph and a navionics chip if it is compatable, all the humps on any kind of map looks like circles with more circles marked by the contour lines. a hump can be in 20 ft of water and the top of the hump could be at 12 ft. these usually hold a lot of fish, especially in the summer when the fish are shallow early and theyll go to the nearest deep water.

hope this helps! if i do a little digging once im off work i could find a pic from my HB of a hump

Humps are way out from the bank and can get only 4 ft deep. Get a Tawakoni Lake map you can see the humps on the map. Wolf Cove ,Sun point, Tall Man reach, humps in front of Holliday marina. There are no Stupid Questions! Ask we will help you.

Feel free to PM me I will help all I can.

Mike

Humps are usually just small hills in the old river bottom and/or pastures or mounds of dirt built up by dozers when building the lake. Points are small ridges that extend from the bank.

No stupid questions - only those not ask!

Great answer right here!

Get a Navionics Map (HotMap for me) (it's good for the whole southern region of lakes)!

No matter where you go - you will see where to fish,
