For my 28th birthday I bought myself a new reel. Haven't ever spent more than $80.00 for a reel before so I was excited to get a line wet with my new STX.
I couldn't be happier! I've done some homework on this reel and the good reviews drastically out weighed the bad and this evening was no different. It casts a mile and is virtually impossible to backlash. I might have to pick up one of the new ones when they come out this fall.

Thanks. I was going to buy 3 at that price. The STX is a little to fast for me at the coast.
