Nice catch. I'll be using that same method this tomorrow night. I just found some awesome bullet weight type split shots so I'm excited to actually fish the stitch method.

It takes a while to get the stitch method down and the hookset is something you just have to figure out on your own.

I catch most of my bass by the skin inside of their mouths, I rarely hook the jaw. At first I was hooking them all in the throat.

There is no "bite" or thump most of the time.

I was talking about bass fishing, that crappie was caught dragging around a crank bait. When I get to a new lake I take a tour around it and drag a crankbait behind me as I troll and watch the depth finder.

You should try it.

But I am not going to tell you why I do it.

You have to figure that out on your own,

I went to Rhodes on Saturday and it is as low as I have ever seen it. I did catch quite a few bass nothing big the biggest maybe two and a half pounds.

All the time. In fact, the majority (not all) of my fish over 5 lbs. have come from out in the main lake.

Only been a couple of times. Took the fly rod out on the Guad and caught a few bream, smallmouth, and one really nice rainbow. Once we close on the sale in a few ays, my weekends will free up, and I'll get after 'em more seriously. smile

Do you know where that hump is on the left just past the creek split?

You ever catch anything there? It's deep on both sides so it should hold a fish or two.
