I have a 18.5 ft Aluminum Bass Tracker. I am going to put a graph on the bow and at the console. Is it important that the two units are linked and work in unison with each other? Or is it better to run the two units separate? Any information
/opinions are welcomed.

Thanks

Depends what you want to do with them! If you want to set a waypoint at the console and have it show up also on the front unit (or vice versa) you must have them linked. If you don't want to share waypoints, IMHO no need to link them.

Also, if you want to have both units on and displaying depth at the same time you should link them. This enables you to select which transducer is used and avoid front/back interference.

By-the-way - I'm speaking from a Lowrance perspective. I've no idea how the H-Bird units work when linked together.

C.

Same with Humminbirds if you purchase units that are Ethernet capable.

Some older units that are not Ethernet capable can be linked to share GPS data with Interlink. That would be units in the 700 series and higher.
