You could.I dont because I'm after big fish and dont want a SB to hit it if I got a big fish on. That just me. I've caught big SB and catfish on them too. You need to try them thumb

I kinda wish this was a "Favorite Strippers Lure" thread. I mean stripers, no wait strippers... Wait stripers.

If you are targetN sand bass use a fly above a small slab. It just does not work on Twak! U will hang a 5 lb'R on the lure, then a 7 lb'R on the fly...............SNAP........Time to re-TIE! You can tie any knot ya want, use super glue, but two fish that weigh 3-5 lbs go in opposite directions = SNAP

Hey Mike,,, Speaking of small slabs.......HMMMMM Any word Bud on the SSSs. My box has one hole space completely empty. smile

By the way Expyker, if you plan on fishing Hubbard, you need to check out Duck's SSS (Super Shad Slab). Those suckers are killers on sand bass.

The "Wiggle Shad" in 1.5oz ( 3" long ) tied on the back eyelet has been producing VERY well.

The best lure is the one you have the most confidence in and use the most.

Is live shad a lure?? or am i on the wrong page of a different book?

I like moes kahuna spoons! And 4" nanna sassys this time of year! You kinda have to think bigger this time of year just to keep the sandbass at bay!

it's the crapy days that make the good days that much better!!!
