I was able to travel down and meet some Malibu Pro Staffers in Corpus Christi to fish the Casting for a Cause Tournament on June 8th. I just wanted to share my experience and the tournament with yall. The tournament was awesome! There was a huge turnout this year in its fifth year to be held. This was my first year to fish the tournament, and I will be definitely fishing it each year if I can. Some quick information about the tournament: it is non-profit and volunteer driven. It's one of the biggest charitable in the Coastal Bend area. The tournament proceeds go to Heroes on the Water and National Multiple Sclerosis Society, as well as other local charities. This year was the biggest yet. The goal was to have over 400 participants and raise over $100,000, and the goal was met! This is an awesome event, and I highly recommend fishing it if you can in the future. Here is a link to the tournament website.

I was there fishing with Team Malibu, so the pics are from our group and the others in the kayak division. If you look them up on facebook you can see more of the pictures.
The fishing was pretty tough, but some nice fish were still caught. We were in pretty good area, and some of us caught some reds.
Here is some of our group.

Everybody on our way back in.

Three of our guys with their reds.

Eventually the winning stringer for the Kayak Division.

The line at the weigh in.

The final results for the tournament.

I wish i had more pics, but this is probably the best. There were tons of prizes given away. This is the Hero who won our Malibu Stealth 12 in Red, White, and Blue.

A better look at the kayak.
