Sounds like paul blart would have been a more efficient LEO. No offense to the police but seriously?

Go in groups. One park and go in. Two or three others drive around, watching the truck with shiny wheels and gps on the dash. When the lowlife punches the lock, beat his a$$.

This very thing happened to me at the TSRA gun show at the Mesquite Rodeo Convention Center a couple years ago. I owned a 2001ford one ton and the punched the pass anger door. Took everything worth a darn. Hit 20+ trucks that day. DPS troopers were susposed to be doing security and it still happened anyway. It is worth an alarm if it can't be shut off easily.

Just wondering with all the reports of stolen vehicles and broken into trucks in the BPS and Dalrock parking lots, why do guys still go there? Not trying to be a smart azz. I would say its time to send BPS message and boycott that location.

Shop at tacklewarhouse....Just kidding, same thing happend to my dads Navigator at the airport parking lot a while back. They stole the TV. The cops said that after the car had been broken into probabley a dozen or so Airport security people had entered our vehicle and rumaged through the rest of stuff to see if there was anything left to take!

BASS PRO DOESN'T OWN THE LOT! The City of Garland does. Your bitch is with Garland and not BPS. BPS is not allowed to install cameras that view the lot, provide parking lot security, have an employee of the month parking spot, etc. Coming on here bashing BPS for something they have absolutely ZERO control over is ridiculous. The employees are supposed to park away from the doors to allow the BPS customers parking closer to the building for convenience.

Half the apartments around there are Section 8. That might have something to do with the problem.

BPS and other merchants that share the parking area have gone to Garland with their concerns. Boycotting BPS won't accomplish anything. It's Garlands responsibility and that's the bottom line. Just like the thefts at Robertson Park and Dalrock are the responsibility of the City of Dallas.

you guys get off Garland's back. GPD does an excellent job.

Just for information, I am Law Enforcement in a surrounding city. Right now, the hottest ticket with car thieves are newer model Silverados, Avalanches, and Tahoes.

Keep all valuables out of sight and please DON'T EVER LEAVE A GUN IN THE CAR!

Most large counties have an autotheft task force. Shoot them and email or phone in a complaint. There can easily be a breakdown in communication among agencies and they might not even know there is a problem. Many agencies are so short handed right now that officers spend their entire shifts taking offense reports and dont have the time to actually try and catch a bad guy or two.

I think somebody watches from those appartments...

with that many vehicle thefts and burglaries.. THE CITY OF GARLAND AND GARLAND PD NEEDS TO STEP UP THEIR GAME.

all these bait car programs look like they work wonderfully, but fact of the matter is, not all agencies have funding for that. my agency has 250 sworn officers, but we dont have a k9 unit. and thats because we dont have the funding for the training, dogs, new vehicles, etc. we dont have bait car programs either. all of that stuff costs money, and when all of us are going through economic hardships, the cities you live in are doing the same.

i promise you that GPD is well aware of the fact that BPS has a tendency to have stolen and burglarized vehicles, and when we have a problem area where I work, we do our very best on patrol to infiltrate the area during shift. but that also does not take into account the call load, which for us can be anywhere from 10-30 calls in a 10 hour shift. that doesnt include time for traffic stops, suspicious persons, etc.
